Our Own Quilts
The quilts pictured below were made for our own use or as gifts for
family members.
Of course, family quilts get everyone involved: even the webmaster
gets his fingers pried off the keyboard from time to time and put to
work hand-stitching binding.

| Spiral Lone Star
class project completed in Spring, 2002. This octagonal wall hanging
is partially paper-pieced to get the precise star points. The larger
star pattern is quilted with quarter-inch
technique. The outer star points are quilted with ribbons through
the points and stippling in the background. First Place
Viewer's Choice, Multi-Technique Art Wall Hanging category,
Missoula Quilter's Guild "Stars Across America Quilt Show
2002."

A pieced and appliqued teddy bear
quilt made for our newest grandson in February, but finished on the
way to visit, so we didn't have a picture of it until our fall
visit.

This original design was
made for a grandson, out of his uncle's worn-out blue jeans. It
includes five back pockets and added action-figure patches. This was
finished enroute to visit in the spring, and we didn't get a photo until
October 2002.
