Our Own Quilts

The quilts pictured below were made for our own use or as gifts for family members.

Of course, family quilts get everyone involved: even the webmaster gets his fingers pried off the keyboard from time to time and put to work hand-stitching binding.

This lap-sized quilt was one of a set of six identical quilts made by the Bitterroot Valley Machine Quilters mini-group as a showcase of longarm quilting technique for the 2005 Bitterroot Quilt Guild show. Mine is quilted in diagonal grids in the border and horizontal and vertical grids in the center, with trapunto roses in the open spaces between the nine-patch blocks.
