Our Own Quilts
The quilts pictured below were made for our own use or as gifts for family members.
Of course, family quilts get everyone involved: even the webmaster gets his fingers pried off the keyboard from time to time and put to work hand-stitching binding.

This was Judy's entry in the 2003 Challenge category: the size range and one fabric pattern were set by the rules. Quilts were displayed by number until after the judging. |

This Blooming Nine-Patch queen-sized quilt was done as a class project this spring, and is going to our youngest daughter. |

This king-sized quilt, a wedding present for one of our daughters, is an adaptation of the Spiral Lone Star wall hanging below. We added the compass point corners from the orginal square pattern to all eight faces of the spiral, then added borders and three-quarter circles to expand the design from the original 48-inch central star to a 120-inch king size. The colors match her bedroom decor. April 29, 2003. |
