Bead Embellishments
In addition to traditional quilts, quilting services, and hand-woven
pieces,we also embellish our original works with beads, wire, felt, and
non-woven fibers; on dolls, bags, and quilts. As with many of our products,
we do not stock an inventory: most works are one-of-a-kind
creations. Commissions are most welcome. For a consultation and

Title piece: "Brigid," a 9.5-inch (24cm) bead sculpture on a fabric
armature, which won first place in the 2005 challenge show sponsored by The
Beaded Pony of Stevensville, Montana, and a Reserve Grand Champion
award in the 2006 Ravalli County Fair. Original design by Judy.

"Synergy,"A quilted, beaded wall
hanging, 28.5 by 36.5 inches (72.5 by 93cm), designed by Judy for the
2006 Beaded Pony challenge show. The quilt features a world map
medallion appliqued onto a sky background populated with the moon,
planets and a galaxy. The continents are comprised of seed beads
with various beads representing major mountain ranges, with animal
charm beads. The hanger is a length of cottonwood root driftwood
from the Bitterroot River, embellished with peyote-stitched grip and
a silver goddess bead sculpted from metal clay by Larye. The hanger
is attached to the quilt with a custom-made aluminum clamp and
bar. This piece won first place in its category at the Beaded
Pony show and Grand Champion of Home Arts at the 2006 Ravalli County
Fair. |
